Role Context

Brigham endocrinology NPs manage independent patient panels within disease-specific programs — diabetes technology, thyroid disease, or metabolic bone. You will prescribe and adjust insulin regimens, manage advanced CGM and insulin pump data, and conduct thyroid ultrasound result consultations alongside Harvard-affiliated endocrinology faculty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage type 1 and type 2 diabetes patients including insulin pump and CGM-guided therapy adjustment
  • Evaluate and treat thyroid nodules, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, and post-thyroidectomy follow-up
  • Manage adrenal insufficiency, Cushing's syndrome, and pituitary tumor surveillance
  • Interpret and act on laboratory results: HbA1c trends, lipid panels, bone density, and thyroid function tests
  • Prescribe anti-osteoporosis agents including bisphosphonates, denosumab, and anabolic therapies
  • Provide telehealth endocrinology visits for established patients on select clinic days

Requirements & Skills

  • FNP-BC or ACNP-BC certification; endocrinology NP experience strongly preferred
  • Active Massachusetts NP license with prescriptive authority and DEA registration
  • Experience with insulin pump management, continuous glucose monitoring platforms, and diabetes technology
  • Familiarity with thyroid disease management, metabolic bone guidelines, and adrenal disorder protocols
  • Proficiency in Epic EHR
  • Academic or teaching hospital experience a significant plus
