About This Role

Hospitality Care is hiring Ward Boys for a private multi-specialty hospital in Mumbai. The role involves supporting nursing staff with patient care tasks, maintaining ward cleanliness, transporting patients within the hospital, and ensuring that ward supplies are stocked and accessible. This is an entry-level healthcare support role suited to candidates who are physically fit, empathetic, and comfortable working in a clinical environment.

Role Context

You will be assigned to a specific ward — general, surgical, or orthopaedic — and work under the supervision of the ward nurse and nursing in-charge. The team consists of 3 to 4 ward boys per shift rotating across morning, afternoon, and night slots. Mumbai hospitals operate at high occupancy, so the pace is steady and the work is physically demanding but structured.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist nurses with patient positioning, bed transfers, and basic hygiene support
• Transport patients to diagnostic rooms, OT, or ICU using wheelchairs or trolleys
• Collect and deliver lab samples, medications, and equipment between departments
• Clean and disinfect ward beds, trolleys, and surfaces after each patient discharge
• Maintain an adequate supply of linen, disposables, and ward consumables at all times
• Report any patient distress or equipment malfunction to the nurse on duty immediately
• Assist in body shifting and last rites documentation handover when required

Requirements & Skills

• Minimum 10th pass; 12th pass preferred
• Prior hospital or clinic experience is an advantage but not mandatory
• Physically fit and able to lift and support patients with nursing assistance
• Comfortable working rotational shifts including nights and public holidays
• Basic Hindi communication; Marathi is an added advantage in Mumbai
• Vaccinated against Hepatitis B — or willing to get vaccinated before joining

Benefits & Work Conditions

• ₹12,000 – ₹18,000 per month based on shift and experience
