About This Role

US Anesthesia Partners (USAP) is hiring Pain Management Nurse Practitioners to join its interventional pain and chronic pain management teams. You will evaluate patients with complex pain presentations, manage pharmacological treatment plans, and assist with or perform interventional procedures in outpatient pain clinic settings.

Role Context

Pain management NPs at USAP manage new and follow-up patients in outpatient interventional pain clinics. You will conduct comprehensive pain assessments, initiate and adjust opioid and non-opioid pharmacotherapy, and work alongside pain management physicians on epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, and spinal cord stimulator patient management. Prior authorization and treatment plan documentation are core responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial and follow-up evaluations for chronic and acute pain conditions
  • Manage pharmacotherapy including opioids, non-opioids, muscle relaxants, and adjuvant analgesics
  • Monitor controlled substance prescribing compliance with PDMP and urine drug screens
  • Assist attending physicians with fluoroscopy-guided procedures: epidurals, facet injections, and RF ablation
  • Develop and document individualized pain management plans aligned with state opioid prescribing guidelines
  • Coordinate with physical therapy, behavioral health, and surgical teams for multimodal pain care

Requirements & Skills

  • FNP-BC or ACNP-BC certification
  • Active NP license with DEA registration (Schedule II prescribing authority)
  • Pain management NP or RN experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of PDMP systems, opioid risk tools, and state prescribing regulations
  • Comfort with fluoroscopy suite protocols and radiation safety (training available)
  • Strong documentation skills for medically complex, high-risk pain patients
