Hospital for Special Surgery
Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) is seeking Orthopedic Nurse Practitioners to join its subspecialty orthopedic care teams. You will work alongside orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine physicians in outpatient clinic and pre/post-operative care settings at the top-ranked orthopedic hospital in the United States.
HSS NPs are integral to orthopedic surgeon practices, managing pre-operative workups, post-operative follow-up visits, joint injection clinics, and orthopedic urgent care. You will typically work within a specific subspecialty — spine, sports medicine, arthroplasty, or rheumatology — with a consistent attending team and defined patient population.
This role is ideal for NPs with a musculoskeletal clinical interest and a preference for subspecialty practice. The structured outpatient environment, predictable hours, and opportunity to develop procedural skills in injections and wound care make it a highly desirable orthopedic NP position.
Hospital for Special Surgery has been ranked the #1 hospital in orthopedics and rheumatology in the United States by U.S. News & World Report for 15 consecutive years. It performs more than 32,000 surgeries annually and operates outpatient locations across the New York metro area and Florida.
Apply at careers.hss.edu. Search "Nurse Practitioner" and filter by subspecialty. The process includes a clinical skills review and a virtual interview with NP leadership and the department attending chief.
