Role Context

Envision NPs in the ED typically work the fast-track or mid-acuity track, managing ESI 3–4 patients independently while collaborating with emergency medicine physicians on ESI 1–2 cases. Shifts are 10–12 hours with full coverage across days, nights, and weekends on a rotating schedule. Envision provides an established team structure and credentialing support at each partner facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and emergent presentations independently
• Perform emergency procedures: suturing, I&D, fracture reduction, IV access
• Interpret point-of-care diagnostics including EKGs, X-rays, and CT reports
• Triage and stabilize high-acuity patients in collaboration with attending physicians
• Initiate appropriate disposition — discharge, admission, or observation
• Manage time-sensitive conditions: ACS, stroke, anaphylaxis, and sepsis protocols

Requirements & Skills

• FNP-BC, ACNP-BC, or AGACNP-BC required
• ACLS, BLS, and TNCC (or willingness to obtain TNCC within 6 months)
• Active NP license in state of practice with DEA registration
• 2+ years of ER/urgent care NP or RN experience strongly preferred
• Procedural proficiency in suturing, splinting, and wound care
• Composure and rapid clinical decision-making under pressure

Who Should Apply

Prior ER RN experience is a significant advantage; however, candidates with strong urgent care NP backgrounds are also competitive.
