Role Context

Nemours NPs are embedded within multidisciplinary pediatric teams spanning primary care, subspecialties (cardiology, endocrinology, neurology), and hospital-based settings. Depending on your assignment, you may see well-child visits, manage chronic conditions like asthma and type 1 diabetes, or assist in inpatient pediatric units with census management and family-centered rounding.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pediatric assessments from newborn through adolescence
• Manage acute illnesses including respiratory infections, febrile illness, and skin conditions
• Support chronic condition management for asthma, ADHD, obesity, and diabetes
• Partner with attending physicians and subspecialists on complex case management
• Provide anticipatory guidance and developmentally appropriate patient education
• Document encounters in Epic and coordinate referrals within the Nemours network

Requirements & Skills

• PNP-BC or CPNP-PC certification (CPNP-AC for inpatient roles)
• Active state NP license; Florida license required for FL positions
• BLS required; PALS preferred for inpatient track
• Pediatric clinical experience through NP program or prior RN role
• Calm, family-centered communication skills
• Comfortable with Epic EHR and growth chart interpretation
