Johns Hopkins Medicine
Johns Hopkins Medicine is recruiting Acute Care Nurse Practitioners to join its inpatient hospital services. You will work alongside attending physicians in a tertiary academic medical center, managing high-acuity patients across medicine, surgery, or specialty units.
Acute Care NPs at Johns Hopkins function as core members of inpatient care teams, managing daily rounding responsibilities, procedure coordination, and discharge planning. Depending on your assigned unit — which may include general medicine, cardiac surgery step-down, or subspecialty services — you will carry a census of 8–14 patients per shift alongside an attending.
This position fits NPs who thrive in complex, academic clinical environments and want direct involvement in high-acuity patient management. If you value working alongside specialists, performing procedures, and contributing to teaching at a top-ranked medical center, this role offers an unmatched clinical experience.
Johns Hopkins Medicine is consistently ranked among the top 5 hospitals in the United States by U.S. News & World Report. It encompasses six hospitals, four surgery centers, and more than 40 patient care locations across Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia.
