Role Context

MinuteClinic NPs operate with a high degree of clinical autonomy in a walk-in setting that sees 30–40 patients per shift. You will work within a collaborative team that includes pharmacists and care managers, with direct access to CVS Health's integrated EHR platform. No call schedule or hospital rounds — shifts are predictable and clinic-based.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat acute conditions including strep, URI, UTI, and skin infections
• Conduct wellness exams, sports physicals, and health screenings
• Manage chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol
• Administer vaccinations and travel health consultations
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and counsel patients on treatment plans
• Coordinate referrals to primary care physicians and specialists as needed

Requirements & Skills

• Master's or Doctorate in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner certification (FNP-BC or FNP-C)
• Active, unrestricted NP license in the state of practice
• Current DEA registration or ability to obtain
• BLS/CPR certification required
• Experience with EHR platforms (Epic or similar)
• Strong patient communication and time-management skills
