About This Role

Wipro is looking for DevOps Engineers to join its Infrastructure and Cloud practice in Chennai. You will work on continuous integration and delivery pipelines, cloud infrastructure automation, and release management for global enterprise clients. This role is best suited for candidates with 2–5 years of DevOps or build-and-release engineering experience who are comfortable in Linux environments and cloud-native toolchains.

Role Context

You will be embedded within a client delivery team managing the build, release, and operations cycle for a large-scale enterprise application. The team follows DevSecOps practices and you will be responsible for maintaining pipeline health, improving deployment frequency, and reducing release failures. Wipro uses its own HOLMES AI platform alongside standard DevOps tools to automate repetitive operations tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
Manage containerised workloads on Kubernetes and Docker
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or CloudFormation
Monitor application and infrastructure health using Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
Implement security scanning (SAST/DAST) into the pipeline and remediate findings
Collaborate with development and QA teams on release planning and rollback procedures
Maintain runbooks and document pipeline changes for knowledge transfer

Requirements & Skills

2–5 years of DevOps or build-release engineering experience
Hands-on experience with Jenkins or GitLab CI and at least one cloud platform
Strong Linux/Unix skills — shell scripting, cron, process management
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (certification preferred)
Familiarity with Git branching strategies and version control best practices
B.E. / B.Tech or equivalent technical degree
