DevOps Engineer

About This Role

Fresher Hub is adding a DevOps Engineer to support three active product teams that run workloads on AWS. The role is focused on CI/CD pipeline management, infrastructure-as-code, and environment reliability. You will report to the Infrastructure Lead and coordinate with backend engineers daily to ensure smooth deployments and minimal downtime.

Role Context

The current infrastructure spans EC2 instances, RDS databases, and S3 storage managed through Terraform. Deployments use Jenkins and GitHub Actions for automation. The team follows a GitOps approach, and the DevOps engineer owns the deployment process from code merge to production release, including rollback procedures when issues arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
• Manage AWS infrastructure including EC2, RDS, S3, and VPC configurations
• Write and update Terraform scripts for environment provisioning
• Monitor system performance using CloudWatch and set up alerting rules
• Handle deployment troubleshooting and coordinate hotfix releases with engineering teams
• Manage access controls and IAM policies across AWS accounts
• Conduct regular infrastructure cost reviews and suggest optimizations
• Document runbooks for standard operations and incident response procedures

Requirements & Skills

• Hands-on experience with AWS core services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools — Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent
• Basic Terraform knowledge for managing infrastructure as code
• Comfort working with Linux environments and shell scripting
• Understanding of Docker and containerized deployment workflows
• Ability to read application logs and diagnose deployment failures
• Calm and structured communication during incident situations

Benefits & Work Conditions

• Monthly salary: Rs.30,000 - Rs.55,000 based on AWS and DevOps experience
• Onsite position — Hyderabad and Pune offices
• On-call rotation applies (typically one week per month, compensated separately)
