About This Role

Fresher Hub is building a team of Java engineers to work on scalable backend systems for enterprise clients across manufacturing and retail sectors. This role sits within a 12-person engineering team and reports directly to a Senior Software Architect. You will spend most of your time writing server-side logic, reviewing pull requests, and shipping features on a two-week sprint cycle.

Role Context

The team currently manages three live products using a microservices approach. New engineers are paired with a mentor for the first 30 days, with gradual ownership of modules based on progress. Collaboration happens across backend, QA, and product functions using Jira and Confluence for project tracking.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain Java-based RESTful APIs using Spring Boot
Write unit and integration tests with JUnit and Mockito
Review code submitted by junior developers and provide constructive feedback
Troubleshoot production bugs using log analysis and debugging tools
Collaborate with the database team to optimize MySQL queries and indexing strategies
Document technical design decisions and update internal wikis
Participate in sprint planning and daily standups

Requirements & Skills

Strong command of Core Java and OOP principles
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate
Familiarity with REST API design and HTTP protocols
Working knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL
Git proficiency and comfort with branching strategies
Ability to read and debug existing codebases independently
Good written communication for documentation and async collaboration

Monthly salary: Rs.25,000 - Rs.50,000 based on skills and interview performance
5-day work week (Monday to Friday)
