Data Analyst

About This Role

Fresher Hub is hiring a Data Analyst to support business intelligence functions for its product and operations teams. This role handles data from multiple internal systems — sales, support, and product usage — and turns it into structured reports that inform weekly decision-making meetings. You will work directly with the Operations Manager and collaborate with two other analysts.

Role Context

The analytics team uses SQL, Excel, and Power BI to manage reporting workflows. Data is pulled from MySQL databases and third-party SaaS tools. This is not a research role — it is operational, deadline-driven, and focused on answering specific business questions quickly and accurately. The Mumbai team handles a data pipeline covering over 50,000 monthly records across product lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and maintain SQL queries to extract data from relational databases
• Build and update dashboards in Power BI for weekly management reviews
• Analyze trends in sales performance, user retention, and support ticket volumes
• Prepare ad-hoc reports based on requests from product and leadership teams
• Identify data quality issues and flag inconsistencies for the engineering team
• Document data definitions and maintain a shared glossary for business metrics
• Present findings clearly in team meetings using charts and summary slides

Requirements & Skills

• Proficiency in SQL — ability to write multi-table joins and aggregation queries
• Hands-on experience with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting)
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau for dashboard creation
• Basic understanding of statistics (averages, distributions, trend lines)
• Strong attention to detail — numbers need to be right, not just close
• Clear communication for presenting data findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Comfort with ambiguous questions that do not have a single obvious answer

• Monthly salary: Rs.20,000 - Rs.40,000 based on skills demonstrated
