About This Role

IBM India is hiring Cloud Infrastructure Engineers to support enterprise clients migrating workloads to IBM Cloud and hybrid multi-cloud environments. This is a technical, delivery-focused role where you will design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure components. Candidates with 2–5 years of experience in cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, AWS, or Azure) and Linux administration are encouraged to apply through IBM's careers portal.

Role Context

You will work within IBM's Technology Expert Labs division, supporting clients across banking, government, and manufacturing verticals. Projects involve cloud migration planning, infrastructure automation, and ongoing managed services. You will report to a technical lead and collaborate with a global team across India, the US, and Europe. IBM follows a structured project delivery methodology with clear milestones and client review checkpoints.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deploy cloud infrastructure components on IBM Cloud or hybrid environments
Automate provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or IBM Schematics
Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability using IBM Instana or equivalent tools
Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and escalate P1/P2 issues within SLA timelines
Maintain infrastructure documentation including architecture diagrams and runbooks
Support clients during cloud migration phases — lift-and-shift and re-architecture

Requirements & Skills

2–5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or systems administration
Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform: IBM Cloud, AWS, or Azure
Strong Linux administration skills — shell scripting, process management, networking
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform or Ansible)
Understanding of networking concepts — VPC, subnets, security groups, load balancers
IBM Cloud or AWS/Azure certification is an advantage
