About This Role

Tata Consultancy Services is hiring Entry Level Software Engineers for its Bengaluru development centres. TCS is one of the largest IT services companies in the world, and this role places you on client-facing technology projects across banking, retail, and manufacturing domains. Role Context

You will be part of a delivery unit working on application development, testing, or support projects for global clients. Your first three months include the iBegin induction programme, after which you are mapped to a project based on skill and business need. TCS follows a structured career path — from Trainee to IT Analyst to Assistant Consultant — with annual appraisals tied to your iQMS competency scores.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application modules as per design specifications
• Write clean, well-documented code in Java, Python, or .NET (based on project)
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and code reviews
• Prepare unit test cases and fix defects raised during QA cycles
• Coordinate with offshore/onshore team members and client stakeholders
• Log effort and status updates in internal project tracking tools

Requirements & Skills

• B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics — 2024 or 2025 graduate
• 60% or above throughout academics (10th, 12th, and graduation)
• Cleared TCS National Qualifier Test (NQT) or hired through campus recruitment
• Basic programming knowledge in any one language (Java, C, Python)
• Good analytical skills and willingness to learn new technologies quickly
