Role Context

Acusis serves regional and community hospitals, multi-specialty clinics, and radiology centers. Transcriptionists are assigned to accounts based on specialty knowledge and are supported by quality editors who review and give feedback on submitted work. Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe dictated patient reports — radiology reads, operative notes, clinic letters
• Apply correct medical terminology, abbreviations, and drug names
• Format reports per facility style sheets and EHR upload specifications
• Meet daily line count production targets
• Communicate with the quality team regarding difficult dictation or missing information
• Comply with HIPAA regulations and Acusis data security policies

Requirements & Skills

• Medical transcription training certificate or equivalent clinical experience
• Minimum 1 year of medical transcription experience preferred
• Strong multi-specialty terminology — radiology, orthopedics, cardiology, or similar
• Typing speed of 65+ WPM
• Familiarity with Meditech, Epic, or Cerner EHR documentation preferred
• Home office with fast internet and HIPAA-compliant workspace
