Role Context

This role sits within Optum's eligibility and enrollment operations team, supporting healthcare plan clients by translating eligibility data needs into technical solutions. You will work remotely alongside IT, clinical, and operations teams to ensure plan member data is accurate, processed correctly, and compliant with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze healthcare eligibility business processes and gather requirements from business and IT stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain reporting on eligibility processing metrics, errors, and operational trends
  • Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to design, test, and implement system enhancements
  • Document business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications
  • Identify root causes of eligibility discrepancies and propose corrective actions
  • Participate in UAT and validation of system changes affecting eligibility processing

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor's in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in healthcare business analysis or an adjacent field
  • Familiarity with healthcare eligibility, enrollment, or benefits administration concepts
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or data tools for analysis and reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration
  • Must reside in the U.S.; no sponsorship offered
