About This Role
ByteForge India is hiring a Systems Administrator for our technology and IT support function in Nagercoil. You will manage the IT infrastructure, server operations, and end-user support for the Nagercoil office, ensuring all systems, networks, and hardware remain secure, updated, and available for business operations. Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, and Group Policy Objects in the office IT environment
- Monitor server performance, storage capacity, and network uptime; identify and resolve issues before they impact business operations
- Manage user accounts, email accounts, VPN access, and permissions across all business applications
- Perform regular data backups, test restore procedures, and maintain the business continuity and disaster recovery plan
- Provide first and second-level technical support for desktop, laptop, printer, and network connectivity issues
- Implement security patches, antivirus updates, and firewall rule reviews on a regular schedule
- Maintain an up-to-date IT asset inventory and software licence register for the Nagercoil office
- Coordinate with cloud and network vendors for service renewals, upgrades, and issue resolution
Required Skills and Qualifications
- B.Tech / B.E. / BCA / B.Sc. in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- 1–3 years of systems administration or IT infrastructure experience
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, LAN/WAN networking, and basic firewall administration
- Familiarity with Office 365, cloud platforms (AWS or Azure basics), and virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V)
- CCNA, CompTIA A+, or Microsoft certifications are an advantage
- Good troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in a small IT team
