About This Role
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is inviting applications from IT graduates for the role of IT Assistant to support the operations, maintenance, and administration of DMRC's enterprise IT systems and station technology infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for freshers and early-career IT professionals to gain experience in a large-scale, mission-critical public sector IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level IT support for DMRC's internal users across stations, depots, and administrative offices
- Install, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, network equipment, and peripheral devices across the DMRC network
- Monitor the performance of station IT systems including passenger information displays, ticketing servers, and CCTV networks
- Log and resolve IT helpdesk tickets within defined SLA timelines, escalating critical issues to senior engineers
- Assist in the rollout and testing of new hardware, software, and network upgrades across stations and offices
- Maintain an updated inventory of all IT assets and software licences under your responsibility
- Support IT security practices including patch management, antivirus updates, and user access control procedures
- Prepare daily and weekly IT operations reports for the department head
Required Skills and Qualifications
- B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics, or an MCA degree from a recognised institution
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN), and ITIL support practices
- Good troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
- Familiarity with SQL databases, ticketing systems, and enterprise software support is an advantage
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and travel to different DMRC stations as required
- CCNA, CompTIA A+, or equivalent IT certifications are a plus
