Radiology Technician Jobs in Bangalore

HealthAxis India

full-time Onsite India

Job Description

About This Role

HealthAxis India is hiring a Radiology Technician for its Bangalore diagnostic center to operate X-ray, CT, and MRI equipment, position patients for examinations, and ensure image quality meets radiologist reporting standards. B.Sc. Radiography or DMRIT-qualified candidates with Karnataka Para Medical Board registration are required. Both freshers completing their clinical internship and experienced technicians with up to four years in a diagnostic radiology environment are invited to apply.

Role Context

Reporting to the Radiology Department Head, you will work within a team of four radiology technicians operating across X-ray, CT, and ultrasound modalities on rotating shifts. The Bangalore diagnostic center performs 120–150 radiological examinations daily across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency referrals. You will be responsible for precise patient positioning, radiation protection protocol compliance, and image quality assurance before forwarding studies to the radiologist reading queue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform plain X-ray examinations including chest, spine, extremity, and abdominal radiography as prescribed
  • Operate CT scanner for contrast and non-contrast studies following approved acquisition protocols
  • Position patients accurately for each examination type to ensure optimal diagnostic image quality
  • Administer contrast media under radiologist supervision following pre-screening and consent protocols
  • Apply radiation protection measures including shielding, positioning, and exposure optimization techniques
  • Maintain equipment operation logs, calibration records, and QC image testing as per department protocols
  • Prepare and forward completed imaging studies to PACS for radiologist interpretation and reporting
  • Assist radiologists during fluoroscopy procedures and image-guided interventional examinations as scheduled

Requirements & Skills

  • B.Sc. Radiography or DMRIT with valid Karnataka Para Medical Board registration — mandatory
  • 0–4 years of diagnostic radiology experience; CT scanning experience is a meaningful advantage
  • Working knowledge of radiation protection principles and patient dose optimization practices
  • Practical skills in patient positioning for standard radiographic projections across body regions
  • Familiarity with PACS systems and DICOM image management for digital radiology workflows
  • Calm, professional patient interaction — many patients are anxious about imaging procedures
  • Willingness to work rotating morning, afternoon, and occasional night shifts for 24-hour emergency coverage

Benefits & Work Conditions

  • Monthly salary of ₹20,000–₹38,000 based on radiography qualification and modality experience
  • PF and ESI statutory benefits from the joining date
  • Rotating shift structure with clear scheduling and night shift allowance payments
  • CT and MRI advanced operation training provided for eligible technicians within 12 months
  • Radiation protection health monitoring and badge dosimetry program for all radiology staff

Who Should Apply

This role is suited for radiography graduates and qualified DMRIT holders who take patient positioning accuracy and radiation protection compliance as seriously as technical equipment operation. If you are methodical, patient-centered, and want to develop multi-modality experience across X-ray, CT, and ultrasound in a high-volume Bangalore diagnostic center with structured training and career advancement toward CT and MRI specialization, HealthAxis India's radiology team is a strong professional fit.
