About This Role

HealthFirst India is hiring Pharmacy Technicians for its Mumbai retail pharmacy chain to assist licensed pharmacists with dispensing, inventory management, billing, and customer medication queries. The role requires a D.Pharm or B.Pharm qualification and MPC registration. This is a full-time customer-facing role in a structured retail pharmacy environment where accuracy, product knowledge, and professional service are equally important. Role Context

Reporting to the Pharmacist In-Charge, you will work within a three-person pharmacy team at a high-footfall HealthFirst India retail location in Mumbai. Daily work involves dispensing prescribed medications, verifying prescriptions, managing drug inventory, processing billing transactions, and advising customers on OTC products and basic drug information under pharmacist supervision. Accurate dispensing and customer safety are the non-negotiable standards for every transaction processed at the counter.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescribed medications accurately under the supervision of the licensed pharmacist on duty
• Verify prescription details including drug name, dose, and prescriber information before dispensing
• Process billing transactions for prescription and OTC purchases accurately through the pharmacy POS system
• Manage daily drug inventory including stock counting, expiry monitoring, and reorder request preparation
• Advise customers on OTC product selection for common ailments under pharmacist guidance
• Maintain refrigeration logs for temperature-sensitive medications and follow cold chain protocols
• Handle controlled substance records and Rx-2 register maintenance as per pharmacy regulations
• Assist in monthly stock audits and reconcile physical stock against the inventory management system

Requirements & Skills

• D.Pharm or B.Pharm qualification with valid Maharashtra Pharmacy Council registration
• 0–3 years of retail pharmacy experience; freshers with D.Pharm internship completion are welcome
• Knowledge of common drug names, classifications, and basic drug interactions for OTC guidance
• Accurate dispensing habits with zero tolerance for prescription interpretation errors
• Basic computer proficiency for POS billing, inventory system operation, and electronic prescription handling
• Good customer communication in Hindi and Marathi for a high-footfall Mumbai retail environment
• Understanding of controlled substance regulations and Schedule H drug dispensing requirements

• Monthly salary of ₹18,000–₹32,000 based on D.Pharm or B.Pharm qualification and experience
