HealthAxis India is hiring a Medical Officer for its Mumbai occupational health center. The company provides corporate health services to manufacturing and services sector clients, and this role covers employee health screenings, injury management, pre-employment medical assessments, and occupational disease surveillance at a client-managed site in Mumbai. Role Context

You will report to the Chief Medical Officer and serve as the primary physician at a dedicated occupational health center on a client's manufacturing campus in Mumbai. The center handles 50–80 employee visits daily covering routine screenings, first aid for workplace injuries, health education sessions, and coordination with external hospitals for cases requiring specialist referral. You will work alongside a staff nurse and a paramedic with clear escalation protocols for critical cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-employment and periodic medical examinations for manufacturing sector employees
• Manage first aid treatment for workplace injuries and coordinate emergency referrals when required
• Perform occupational health screenings including audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing protocols
• Maintain accurate medical records for all employee health visits in the occupational health management system
• Conduct monthly health education sessions on workplace safety, hygiene, and lifestyle disease prevention
• Coordinate with the client's EHS team on occupational hazard assessments and health surveillance programs
• Prepare monthly morbidity and absenteeism reports for the client's HR and safety leadership
• Liaise with empanelled hospital networks for specialist referrals and treatment cost approvals

Requirements & Skills

• MBBS with valid MCI/NMC registration — mandatory requirement for this role
• 1–3 years of clinical experience; occupational health or factory health center experience preferred
• Knowledge of occupational diseases, workplace health hazards, and EHS coordination processes
• Ability to manage a high-volume walk-in clinic professionally and efficiently
• Good documentation habits for maintaining audit-ready medical records
• Diploma in Industrial Health (DIH) or Certificate in Occupational Health is an advantage
• Comfortable working within a structured corporate health services environment and client reporting framework

• Monthly salary of ₹50,000–₹85,000 based on MBBS experience and occupational health background
