About This Role

PixelLogic India is hiring a Node JS Developer for its Bangalore backend team. The company develops SaaS platforms for the media, publishing, and content management sectors, and this role involves building Node.js API services that power content delivery, user management, and subscription billing features across the product. Role Context

You will report to the Lead Backend Engineer and work alongside two other Node.js developers, a database administrator, and a DevOps engineer. The team deploys to AWS using a CI/CD pipeline built on GitHub Actions and manages services through PM2 and Docker on EC2. Sprint cycles run fortnightly. You will be responsible for assigned service development from initial design through deployment, and are expected to write thorough API documentation alongside every service you ship.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build Node.js Express APIs for content delivery, user authentication, and billing workflows
Implement subscription management logic including trial handling, plan upgrades, and payment webhook processing
Design and manage MySQL and MongoDB data stores for user, content, and subscription data models
Write unit and integration tests using Mocha, Chai, or Jest for all service-layer logic
Build and maintain webhook handlers for payment gateway events from Razorpay and Stripe
Monitor service logs using CloudWatch and investigate anomalies before they affect production traffic
Maintain Swagger API documentation synchronized with live endpoint behavior
Participate in technical design reviews and contribute architectural suggestions for new service work

Requirements & Skills

1–3 years of Node.js backend development experience with Express.js framework
Strong understanding of async programming patterns including async/await and Promise chaining
Experience with MySQL for relational data and MongoDB for document-based content storage
Familiarity with JWT-based authentication, OAuth 2.0 flows, and API security best practices
Working knowledge of payment gateway integration including webhook handling and idempotency
Comfort with AWS services including EC2, S3, and CloudWatch for deployment and monitoring
Good habit of writing API documentation as part of delivery rather than as an afterthought
