About This Role

CodeBridge India is looking for a Software Developer to join its engineering team in Mumbai. The company develops transaction processing and merchant management tools for fintech and e-commerce clients, and this role is part of a six-developer squad responsible for API integrations and backend services. If you have worked with high-volume data flows or payment processing, this environment will feel familiar. Entry-level candidates with strong fundamentals are equally welcome to apply.

Role Context

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work within a sprint-based team using Jira for task management and GitHub for version control. The Mumbai office handles client integrations and backend service maintenance for several active accounts. You will be expected to understand client requirements quickly, convert them into technical specifications, and implement solutions that hold up under load. The pace here is consistent rather than chaotic — deadlines are taken seriously without sacrificing code quality.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain backend APIs supporting payment gateway and merchant portal integrations
Implement data validation logic to ensure transaction integrity across systems
Participate in sprint ceremonies including planning, demos, and retrospectives
Write unit and integration tests covering new features and critical existing paths
Debug production issues using log analysis and monitoring dashboards
Collaborate with DevOps on deployment pipeline configurations for new services
Update API documentation when endpoints are added, changed, or deprecated
Assist in migrating legacy components to newer service architecture as planned

Requirements & Skills

1–3 years of backend development experience in Java, Python, or Node.js
Understanding of secure coding practices around API authentication and data handling
Practical SQL knowledge including query optimization for transaction-heavy datasets
Experience with REST API design and third-party payment or data service integrations
Familiarity with Docker or containerization tools is beneficial but not mandatory
Strong debugging skills and comfort navigating log-heavy production environments
Good written communication for documenting APIs and internal technical decisions

Monthly salary of ₹25,000–₹50,000 based on skills and experience at joining
