About This Role

TeleHealth Connect USA is seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Telehealth Patient Access and Scheduling Coordinator to join our fully remote team. In this full-time position, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking virtual care appointments. You will manage scheduling workflows, verify insurance eligibility, and ensure patients have a seamless experience from their initial inquiry through to their first telehealth visit. This is a critical patient-facing role that directly affects satisfaction and care outcomes.

Role Context

The telehealth industry has experienced extraordinary growth, and TeleHealth Connect USA operates one of the largest virtual care networks in the United States. Our scheduling coordinators are the connective tissue between patients and providers. You will work within a structured remote environment using proprietary scheduling platforms, electronic health record systems, and communication tools to manage a high volume of patient interactions efficiently and compassionately each day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel telehealth appointments for patients across multiple specialties
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointment confirmation
  • Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information in the EHR system
  • Communicate appointment instructions, technology requirements, and preparation guidelines to patients
  • Triage patient calls and route urgent concerns to clinical staff in a timely manner
  • Follow up with patients who missed appointments and assist with rescheduling
  • Process prior authorization requests in coordination with the billing team
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations in all patient communications and data handling
  • Meet daily and weekly productivity metrics for call volume and scheduling accuracy

Requirements & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in healthcare administration preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in a medical front office, call center, or patient scheduling role
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, or Kareo
  • Knowledge of health insurance terminology, co-pays, deductibles, and prior authorizations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered approach
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced remote environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home workspace
