Responsibilities
- Partner with an assigned Nurse Manager mentor to develop management skills over a 12-month structured program
- Assist in managing nursing operations on a designated inpatient unit at UCHealth's flagship campus
- Conduct daily purposeful leader rounding with patients, families, and nursing staff
- Support quality improvement projects aligned with UCHealth's High Reliability Organization goals
- Assist in preparing the unit for accreditation surveys and regulatory readiness activities
- Participate in interdisciplinary care rounds and contribute a nursing leadership perspective
- Complete UCHealth's Nurse Manager Essentials Certificate Program
Requirements
- BSN required; MSN preferred or in progress
- Active Colorado RN license or compact state equivalent
- Recent nursing graduate (2024–2026)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Interest in academic medicine, research, and high-acuity clinical environments
- Strong organizational skills and commitment to continuous quality improvement
