Responsibilities
- Participate in Memorial Hermann's 12-month New Graduate Nurse Manager Leadership Track
- Assist unit Nurse Managers in planning and executing staffing, patient care, and unit operations
- Conduct safety rounds, identify near-miss events, and participate in nursing unit safety huddles
- Learn trauma, NICU, and specialty nursing unit management practices through rotational assignments
- Engage in shared governance and nursing practice council activities
- Assist in preparing unit for Joint Commission readiness visits
- Develop leadership capstone project presented to Memorial Hermann's Chief Nursing Officer
Requirements
- BSN required; MSN or enrollment in graduate nursing program preferred
- Texas RN license active or in process
- Recent nursing graduate with strong clinical evaluations
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong interest in academic medicine, research, and Level I trauma care
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative leadership style
