Responsibilities
- Partner with a Nurse Manager preceptor to build management competency on a designated inpatient unit
- Coordinate daily staffing, assignments, and charge nurse activities across the unit
- Participate in Henry Ford Health's nursing quality dashboards and Magnet exemplary practice documentation
- Support patient family advisory council activities and respond to patient experience concerns
- Assist in leading staff development including education sessions and skills fairs
- Engage in budget reviews and learn to interpret labor cost variance reports
- Complete Henry Ford Health's Nursing Leadership Competency framework certification
Requirements
- BSN from an accredited nursing program required
- Active Michigan RN license or eligibility
- Recent nursing graduate with strong academic and clinical evaluation records
- BLS and ACLS certifications or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
