Responsibilities
- Assist experienced Nurse Manager in leading a nursing unit at a Sanford Health medical center
- Coordinate patient care assignments, charge nurse coverage, and support staff deployment
- Monitor and support staff adherence to clinical protocols and documentation standards
- Participate in Sanford Health's unit-based quality improvement initiatives and LEAN projects
- Support recruitment and retention efforts, including participation in RN interview panels
- Coordinate with education department on new staff orientation and preceptor assignments
- Complete Sanford Health's Emerging Leaders Program curriculum
Requirements
- BSN required
- Current South Dakota or applicable compact state RN license
- Recent nursing graduate with strong community health values
- BLS certification required
- Willingness to serve diverse rural patient populations
- Strong teamwork, communication, and conflict resolution skills
