Banner Health – Nurse Manager Intern – New Graduate

Banner Health's Nurse Manager Internship is a coveted early-career program designed to prepare newly graduated BSN nurses for nurse manager roles within Banner's growing network of facilities.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a 12-month nurse management internship with structured mentorship and competency milestones
- Assist Nurse Managers with staffing decisions, patient placement, and resource management
- Conduct daily patient care rounds and engage nurses, aides, and patients in safety conversations
- Assist in preparing the unit's monthly quality metrics dashboard and variance reports
- Lead onboarding activities for newly hired nursing staff in collaboration with nursing education
- Participate in Banner Health's interdisciplinary care coordination rounds
- Complete Banner Health University's online nurse manager competency modules
Requirements
- BSN required
- Active Arizona or applicable western state RN license
- New nursing graduate (May 2024–2026)
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong academic and clinical rotation performance
- Ability to work day and evening shifts during the internship period
