Responsibilities
- Work alongside experienced Nurse Managers to manage unit operations and patient care delivery
- Assist in coordinating staffing and nursing assignments to maintain safe patient care ratios
- Participate in quality review processes including sentinel event analysis and NDNQI benchmarking
- Support staff engagement and recognition activities to strengthen unit culture
- Learn financial management of unit budget including labor variance reporting
- Assist in managing the unit's charge nurse development program
- Complete Corewell Health's Advancing Leadership Series training program
Requirements
- BSN required; MSN preferred
- Active Michigan RN license
- Recent nursing graduate with strong academic record and clinical performance
- BLS and ACLS certifications required or in progress
- Demonstrated ability to lead peers in clinical or academic settings
- Commitment to continuous improvement and evidence-based practice
