OhioHealth – Nurse Manager – Leadership Residency Program

With a deep commitment to care, quality, and community, OhioHealth's Nurse Manager Leadership Residency is a rigorous, two-year pathway that transforms high-potential new nursing graduates into confident, competent unit managers across OhioHealth's hospital campuses.
Responsibilities
- Complete two-year residency rotating through acute care, critical care, perioperative, and ambulatory nursing units
- Develop and demonstrate core nurse manager competencies in operations, finance, quality, and people management
- Assist unit Nurse Managers in leading daily staffing meetings and care coordination activities
- Drive unit-level patient experience initiatives aligned with OhioHealth's Always goals
- Participate in nurse recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding processes
- Lead nursing staff meetings and educational in-services on assigned unit
- Present annual leadership portfolio to OhioHealth Chief Nursing Officer at program culmination
Requirements
- BSN required; MSN strongly preferred or currently enrolled
- Active Ohio RN license
- Recent nursing graduate (Class of 2024–2026)
- Strong clinical performance evaluations from nursing program preceptors
- Previous charge nurse or student nurse leadership experience preferred
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership communication skills
