WellSpan Health – Nurse Manager – New Graduate Program

WellSpan Health is an integrated health system serving South Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland, with nine hospitals and more than 220 patient care locations. WellSpan's Nurse Manager New Graduate Program provides early-career RNs with personalized mentorship, structured education, and hands-on leadership experience in a community-focused healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop unit operations management skills under the guidance of an experienced Nurse Manager coach
  • Assist with staffing coordination, scheduling, and float nurse assignment
  • Support patient safety rounds and unit-level infection prevention activities
  • Help prepare and present unit-level quality reports at department meetings
  • Collaborate with care management team on complex case planning and discharge coordination
  • Engage staff in shared governance and unit practice council activities
  • Complete WellSpan's Leadership Learning Series certification program

Requirements

  • BSN required
  • Pennsylvania or Maryland RN license or compact state equivalent
  • Recent nursing graduate with interest in building a long-term career in nursing management
  • BLS certification required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to team-based care
  • Desire to serve the South Central Pennsylvania community
