Responsibilities
- Partner with an assigned mentor Nurse Manager to learn unit operations from the ground up
- Support daily staffing, patient assignment, and charge nurse coordination activities
- Participate in patient safety event review and root cause analysis processes
- Assist in developing and implementing unit-based clinical practice improvements
- Learn financial management fundamentals including productive and non-productive FTE management
- Engage with patient and family experience teams to address care concerns proactively
- Complete Intermountain Health's Leadership Essentials Certificate Program
Requirements
- BSN required; MSN preferred or in progress
- Current Utah or compact RN license
- Recent nursing graduate (2024–2026 preferred)
- Strong clinical performance and peer leadership in nursing program
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and quality improvement
- Willingness to work flexible shifts as required during leadership training
