Responsibilities
- Rotate through nursing units across Northwell Health's hospital campuses over a 12-month period
- Develop competency in nurse manager core functions including staffing, budgeting, and quality reporting
- Lead interdisciplinary team huddles and participate in clinical leadership rounding
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding nursing staff
- Support Magnet nursing excellence standards and documentation requirements
- Develop and co-present quality improvement proposals to unit leadership
- Attend monthly Northwell NMIT cohort seminars and simulation labs
Requirements
- BSN from an accredited nursing program
- Active New York State RN license or eligibility
- Recent nursing school graduate; strong GPA and clinical evaluations
- BLS certification required
- Demonstrated leadership initiative during nursing program or prior healthcare role
- Excellent communication and team-building skills
