Tenet's Associate Nurse Manager program bridges the gap between bedside nursing and management, giving newly graduated RNs the clinical leadership foundation they need to succeed as nursing supervisors and unit managers.
Responsibilities
- Assist unit Nurse Manager with daily operational supervision of assigned nursing unit
- Coordinate patient assignments and nurse-to-patient ratios for each shift
- Monitor and enforce quality metrics including fall prevention, infection control, and documentation accuracy
- Serve as a resource and clinical expert for staff RNs and nursing assistants on the unit
- Participate in performance management processes including staff coaching and feedback
- Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and workforce management activities
- Attend nursing leadership development workshops as part of Tenet's Manager Pipeline Program
Requirements
- BSN required
- Active RN license in the applicable state
- Recent graduate or 0–1 year of acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Effective communicator with ability to lead in high-pressure situations
