About TCS NQT 2026
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has opened registration for TCS NQT (National Qualifier Test) 2026, its flagship off-campus hiring program for BE and B.Tech freshers. TCS NQT is one of the largest fresher hiring drives in India — registering for NQT is your first step toward a career at TCS, India's largest IT company with over 600,000 employees. Candidates who clear the NQT are considered for multiple TCS roles including Ninja, Digital, and Prime depending on their score.
TCS NQT Tracks and Packages
- TCS Ninja – Entry-level software engineering role. CTC: ₹3.36 LPA (approx ₹28,000/month). Open to all BE/B.Tech branches.
- TCS Digital – Higher-package track for candidates with strong technical skills. CTC: ₹7 LPA (approx ₹58,333/month). Requires clearing a higher NQT score band.
- TCS Prime – Premium track for top scorers with specialization in emerging technology areas. CTC: ₹9 LPA (approx ₹75,000/month).
Eligibility for TCS NQT 2026
- BE / B.Tech in any branch — 2025 and 2026 pass-out
- MCA and M.Tech (2025 and 2026 pass-out) also eligible
- Minimum 60% aggregate across 10th, 12th, and graduation — no active backlogs
- Maximum one year of gap between 10th and graduation allowed with valid documentation
- Must not have appeared for TCS NQT in the past 12 months
NQT Test Pattern
- Cognitive Skills: Numerical ability, verbal ability, reasoning ability (90 minutes)
- Programming Logic: Coding MCQs and hands-on programming problems (30 minutes)
- Hands-on Coding: 2 coding problems in a language of your choice — C, C++, Java, or Python (45 minutes)
Selection Process
- Register on TCS iBegin portal
- Appear for TCS NQT (online, from your home)
- TCS Digital / Prime candidates: additional Advanced Test after NQT
- Technical and HR interview (virtual)
- Offer letter and joining date communicated by TCS HR
