About This Role

StackLabs India is hiring Full Stack Developers for its remote product team. This is a 100% work-from-home role open to developers with 2–5 years of experience building applications on MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) or MEAN (MongoDB, Express, Angular, Node.js) stacks. You will own full features end-to-end — from React/Angular component development through REST API design and MongoDB schema management. Strong JavaScript fundamentals and a product mindset are essential.

Role Context

StackLabs builds a project management and collaboration platform for IT services companies in India. The product has 15,000 active users and is growing at 20% month-on-month. The engineering team of 10 is entirely remote, working in 2-week sprints. Each full stack developer owns 2–3 features per sprint and is responsible for frontend, backend, and database layers of those features. Code is reviewed by peers before merging. Production deployments happen every Tuesday and Friday through the automated CI/CD pipeline. The codebase is well-organized and has 70%+ test coverage.

Key Responsibilities

Build React.js (or Angular) UI components — responsive, accessible, and performance-optimized
Design and implement Node.js + Express REST APIs with proper validation and error handling
Model and query MongoDB collections — optimize aggregation pipelines and indexes
Integrate third-party APIs and webhooks (Slack, Razorpay, Google OAuth, AWS S3)
Write Jest and React Testing Library unit tests for frontend and backend code
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks — database query optimization, frontend bundle size, API latency
Participate in architecture discussions for new features and infrastructure decisions

Requirements

2–5 years of professional full stack development experience
Strong JavaScript / TypeScript — frontend and backend
React.js or Angular — at least one required, both preferred
Node.js + Express — REST API development, middleware, authentication (JWT)
MongoDB — schema design, Mongoose, aggregation pipelines
Git workflow — feature branches, pull requests, rebase
Redis, Docker basics, and AWS S3 experience is a plus
