About This Role

Infovision Technologies is hiring Junior Data Scientists for its Delhi NCR analytics and AI team. This role is open to candidates with 0–2 years of experience, including recent graduates with strong projects in machine learning or data analysis. You will work on real client datasets across retail, banking, and logistics sectors — building predictive models, running experiments, and translating data into business insights. If you have a solid foundation in Python, statistics, and ML libraries and are ready to move from academic projects to production environments, this is the right role.

Role Context

Infovision's data science team of 18 people handles analytics projects for 6–8 enterprise clients simultaneously. Junior data scientists are assigned to one project team where they work under a Senior Data Scientist and a Project Lead. The first 30 days involve understanding the client's data architecture and running exploratory data analysis. By month 3, you are expected to own model development for at least one problem statement end to end. Code is reviewed in bi-weekly sessions. The team uses Python, Scikit-learn, and XGBoost for ML, Tableau and Power BI for visualization, and SQL for data extraction. All work is version-controlled on GitHub.

Key Responsibilities

Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand datasets and identify patterns
Build, train, and validate machine learning models — classification, regression, clustering, forecasting
Write clean, well-documented Python code for data pipelines and model scripts
Create dashboards and visualization reports in Power BI or Tableau for client presentations
Write SQL queries to extract and transform data from relational databases
Document model logic, assumptions, and results in Confluence or internal wikis
Participate in client calls to present findings and answer analytical questions

Requirements

B.Tech / M.Tech (CS/IT/ECE/Maths) or M.Sc (Statistics / Data Science) — 0 to 2 years experience
Proficiency in Python — Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib required
SQL — intermediate level: joins, aggregations, window functions
Understanding of statistical concepts: hypothesis testing, distributions, regression, classification
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib for data visualization
GitHub experience and basic understanding of ML model deployment is a strong plus
