About This Role

MedScript India Delhi is hiring Medical Transcriptionists for its healthcare documentation team. This is an on-site role based in South Delhi and is open to candidates with a medical transcription certification, healthcare or life sciences graduation, or prior experience in medical documentation. You will transcribe dictated clinical notes, discharge summaries, operative reports, and consultation letters for hospitals and specialist clinics in India and the US. Accuracy and medical terminology knowledge are the core requirements for this role.

Role Context

MedScript provides medical transcription and documentation services to hospitals, diagnostic centres, and telemedicine platforms. Transcriptionists receive audio files of doctor dictation recorded through hospital systems and convert them into structured clinical documents using standard medical transcription software. Each transcriptionist targets 800–1,200 lines per shift depending on audio quality and complexity. Quality editors review a random 10% sample daily and score for accuracy, formatting, and terminology usage. Most client records are in American English medical format (AHDI standards).

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe physician dictation from audio files into clinical documents — discharge summaries, operative notes, SOAP notes, radiology reports
• Apply correct medical terminology, abbreviations, and drug names as per AHDI style guidelines
• Achieve daily line count target of 800–1,200 lines per 8-hour shift
• Maintain accuracy of 98.5% or above as measured by quality editor review
• Flag unclear audio segments or ambiguous medical terms for editor review rather than guessing
• Complete document formatting as per client template specifications

Requirements

• Medical Transcription certification (DMLT, CMT) or B.Sc (Life Sciences / Nursing / Medical) graduate
• Strong medical terminology knowledge — anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and clinical procedures
• Typing speed: 50 WPM minimum with 98%+ accuracy in English
• Familiarity with transcription software (Olympus, Express Scribe, or similar) is an advantage
• Good listening comprehension of American and British English accents

• CTC: ₹22,000 – ₹38,000 per month depending on speed and accuracy band
• Line-count incentive: additional ₹2,000 – ₹5,000 per month for exceeding target
