Responsibilities
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans developed by supervising Physical Therapists for orthopedic and sports medicine patients
- Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modality treatments (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold therapy)
- Instruct patients in home exercise programs and ensure proper technique and safety
- Document patient progress in EMR system and communicate treatment outcomes to supervising PT
- Assist with patient intake, scheduling, and insurance authorization as needed
- Maintain clean, safe, and properly equipped treatment areas
Requirements
- Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program
- Active PTA license in the state of employment (or license pending)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong patient communication and motivational skills
- Passion for outpatient orthopedic and sports rehabilitation
