Cognizant
Cognizant is conducting off-campus recruitment for the role of Programmer Analyst Trainee (PAT) for its 2026 batch. This is one of Cognizant's flagship fresher roles for engineering and computer science graduates. Selected candidates go through GenC — Cognizant's technology training program — before being deployed on live IT projects. This is the most common entry point for technical freshers at Cognizant and leads to a Programmer Analyst role within 18–24 months.
Cognizant's PAT program is built around hands-on learning. During the GenC training phase, you work on technology modules covering Java, Python, .NET, SQL, cloud basics, or testing depending on your stream allocation. Training includes mock projects and assessments. After deployment, you work alongside senior developers or QA engineers on a real client codebase. Your first 6 months on the project are supported by a mentor who reviews your code, provides technical guidance, and helps you ramp up on the client's tech stack.
Click Apply on Company Website to visit Cognizant's careers portal and register for the GenC 2026 off-campus drive. You will need to complete the Cognizant online assessment — a 60-minute test covering aptitude, English, and basic programming logic. Results are declared within 2 weeks and shortlisted candidates are invited for a virtual technical interview.
