Clinical Engineering Technician – Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
Cedars-Sinai is a non-profit academic healthcare organization that consistently ranks among the nation's top hospitals for quality care and medical research. Our Clinical Engineering department in Los Angeles is seeking a motivated Clinical Engineering Technician to support our diverse biomedical equipment inventory.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair biomedical equipment in patient care areas across the hospital
- Perform electrical safety inspections (ESI) on all applicable patient care equipment
- Document all maintenance activities in our CMMS platform (TMS/Accruent)
- Support medical equipment management program (MEMP) per The Joint Commission standards
- Assist biomedical engineers with complex repair and system integration projects
- Respond promptly to emergency equipment failure calls from nursing and clinical staff
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Technology, Electronics, or Engineering
- 0-2 years of clinical engineering or biomedical equipment repair experience
- Hands-on experience repairing patient monitors, infusion pumps, or surgical equipment preferred
- Comfortable working in ICU, OR, and other critical care environments
- CBET or CABT certification pursuit is encouraged and supported
