Biomedical Equipment Technician – Mass General Brigham
Mass General Brigham is a Boston-based integrated academic health system affiliated with Harvard Medical School. Our Clinical Engineering department manages thousands of medical devices across our network and is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team supporting world-class patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections on bedside patient care equipment per manufacturer and AAMI recommendations
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning medical devices and document repairs in CMMS
- Respond to emergency equipment calls from clinical departments on a prioritized basis
- Coordinate vendor service calls and on-site repair visits
- Assist senior biomedical engineers with large equipment installations and system integrations
- Manage equipment inventory, loaner programs, and device tracking databases
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics
- 0-2 years of relevant hands-on equipment maintenance experience
- Familiarity with common hospital devices (patient monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators)
- Strong electronics troubleshooting ability with digital multimeters and oscilloscopes
- CBET or CABT certification desired or in progress
