About This Role

Wipro is hiring fresher Data Analysts for its remote team in India. This is a work-from-home role for graduates with a background in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or engineering who want to start their data career at a top global IT company. Wipro provides training in data tools and business analytics during the onboarding period. No prior professional experience is required — your academic projects and technical aptitude matter.

Role Context

You will be embedded in one of Wipro's data services project teams, working with a client dataset to generate reports, identify trends, and support decision-making. Freshers start with structured, well-defined tasks — cleaning datasets, building dashboards in Power BI or Tableau, and writing SQL queries to pull reports. Senior analysts and a project manager provide daily mentorship. All collaboration is remote via Microsoft Teams.

Key Responsibilities

Clean, validate, and organize raw datasets using Excel and Python or SQL
Build automated dashboards in Power BI or Tableau for client reporting
Write SQL queries to extract and transform data from relational databases
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in business data and document findings
Prepare weekly reports summarizing KPIs for project stakeholders
Collaborate with senior analysts and business teams to refine data requirements

Requirements

B.Tech, B.Sc (Statistics / Maths / Computer Science), BCA, or BBA (Analytics) — 2024 or 2025 pass-out preferred
Knowledge of SQL — basic to intermediate level
Exposure to Python (pandas, numpy) or R is an advantage
Familiarity with Excel: pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts
Good logical reasoning and attention to detail
Laptop with Windows 10 or above and minimum 8 GB RAM
