About This Role
Aster DM Healthcare is hiring fresh biomedical engineering graduates as Biomedical Equipment Engineers across its hospital network in South India and the Middle East — supporting the clinical operations of Aster's hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies with reliable medical equipment management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and service medical equipment across Aster's hospitals — radiology, ICU, OT, laboratory, and ward equipment
- Perform electrical safety testing, calibration, and preventive maintenance as per Aster's biomedical SOPs and NABH requirements
- Coordinate equipment AMC renewals and vendor service activities — ensuring timely maintenance and minimum clinical downtime
- Manage biomedical equipment inventory using Aster's HIMS/ERP system — tracking asset register, depreciation, and equipment lifecycle
- Support new hospital equipment procurement — conducting technical evaluations, site preparation, and acceptance testing
- Prepare and maintain biomedical accreditation documentation for NABH and JCI inspections
Requirements & Skills
- B.E./B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering — 2024/2025 batch
- Understanding of hospital medical equipment categories, clinical utilities, and NABH biomedical standards
- Proficiency in MS Excel and asset management systems for equipment database maintenance
- Strong attention to compliance, documentation, and equipment lifecycle management
- Interest in hospital operations and healthcare technology management
