About This Role
Narayana Health — India's most affordable multi-specialty hospital group known for making cardiac surgery accessible to all — is hiring fresh biomedical engineering graduates as Junior Biomedical Engineers to maintain the medical equipment that powers India's most innovative affordable healthcare model.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and service cardiac monitoring, ICU, and surgical equipment across Narayana Health's hospitals — focusing on cardiac care, neurology, and oncology departments
- Perform electrical safety testing, calibration, and PPM for critical care equipment — ventilators, cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and surgical tables
- Manage medical equipment inventory — tracking AMC expiry, calibration due dates, and spare parts stock levels
- Coordinate with OEM service engineers for major repairs and scheduled maintenance under AMC agreements
- Support NABH biomedical accreditation documentation — maintaining equipment logs, safety certificates, and maintenance records
- Participate in Narayana Health's cost-optimization initiatives — evaluating repair vs. replace decisions and identifying cost-effective maintenance strategies
Requirements & Skills
- B.E./B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering — 2024/2025 batch
- Understanding of hospital clinical equipment, ICU technology, and cardiac monitoring devices
- Alignment with Narayana Health's mission of affordable healthcare for all
- Strong problem-solving, cost-consciousness, and clinical equipment reliability focus
- Willingness to work in hospital environments including ICU and OT areas
