About This Role
Portea Medical — India's largest home healthcare company — is hiring fresh biomedical engineering graduates as Biomedical Equipment Coordinators to manage, maintain, and deploy medical equipment for Portea's home care patients across India's cities — supporting patients on home oxygen, dialysis, ventilation, and monitoring services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver, install, and set up home medical equipment — oxygen concentrators, CPAP/BiPAP machines, home ventilators, infusion pumps, and portable monitors — at patient homes
- Train patients and family caregivers on proper use, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of home medical equipment
- Conduct scheduled home visits for equipment checks, filter replacements, and performance verification
- Coordinate equipment breakdown responses — attend urgent calls and resolve equipment issues at patient homes to prevent care disruption
- Maintain equipment service records, inventory tracking, and patient equipment assignment logs
- Liaise between Portea's clinical team and equipment suppliers for replacement units, spare parts, and new equipment orders
Requirements & Skills
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Biomedical Engineering or ECE — 2024/2025 batch
- Empathy and patient-centered communication skills for home care patient interactions
- Understanding of respiratory therapy equipment, home monitoring devices, and infusion systems
- Willingness to travel within city zones for home patient visits
- Two-wheeler licence and own vehicle preferred for home visit mobility
- Calm, problem-solving attitude for urgent patient equipment support situations
