Role Context

EY's Assurance practice uses a team-based engagement model where associates work alongside seniors and managers on client audits lasting 3–8 weeks. You will be assigned to an industry group — such as Technology, Real Estate, or Financial Services — and rotate across clients within that sector each year. EY provides structured onboarding and a formal buddy system for new campus hires.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform substantive audit testing on assigned financial statement areas
• Prepare working papers documenting audit evidence and conclusions
• Review client schedules and reconcile to source documents and general ledger
• Identify internal control gaps and communicate observations to seniors
• Support SEC filing deadlines with accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in client status meetings and draft follow-up items

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting, preferably 150-credit CPA eligible
• Foundational knowledge of GAAP and basic auditing concepts
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with financial data
• Ability to prioritize tasks during a compressed audit busy season
• Professional presentation and client communication skills
• Experience with Excel; exposure to audit software (Caseware, TeamMate) is a bonus
