About This Role

Gupta Brothers Traders, one of Kanpur's established wholesale cloth and textile trading firms, is hiring an Accounts and Billing Executive. You will manage sales billing, purchase entry, and basic GST compliance using Tally Prime. This is a full-time, office-based role in the Nayaganj wholesale market area. B.Com freshers and candidates with up to 2 years of experience in a trading company are welcome to apply.

Role Context

The accounts team has three people — the owner who oversees finances, a senior accountant, and this new billing executive position. You will handle the billing counter during trading hours, prepare daily cash and bank summaries, and assist the senior accountant with GST return data preparation. The work is routine and well-structured, making it a good first accounting job in a stable environment.

Key Responsibilities

Generate sales invoices, delivery challans, and receipts using Tally Prime
Enter purchase bills and maintain vendor ledger
Prepare daily cash book and bank reconciliation
Maintain party-wise outstanding statement for follow-up on receivables
Assist in monthly GST data compilation for CA filing
File physical vouchers and maintain records as per audit requirements

Requirements & Skills

B.Com pass or in final year — freshers considered
Working knowledge of Tally Prime — billing and basic accounting entries
Basic GST awareness — what GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B are
Honest, attentive to detail, and comfortable handling cash billing
Fluent in Hindi — English reading ability for invoices
