Role Context

Deloitte Audit Associates join client engagement teams responsible for auditing financial statements in compliance with GAAP and PCAOB standards. You will be assigned 3–5 client engagements per year and rotate through industries including technology, consumer products, and financial services. Senior associates and managers provide direct coaching on audit methodology and documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute audit procedures for financial statement areas including revenue, expenses, and assets
• Document workpapers clearly and meet quality review standards set by senior associates
• Analyze client financial data and identify risks or discrepancies requiring further testing
• Communicate findings and questions directly to client accounting personnel
• Assist in preparation of audit reports, management letters, and SEC filings support
• Complete Deloitte University training modules and earn CPA credits toward licensure

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting (150 credit hours preferred for CPA eligibility)
• GPA of 3.0 or above preferred
• Basic understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and the audit process
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple engagement deadlines
• Professional demeanor for direct client interaction
• CPA exam eligibility required; exam support provided by Deloitte
